Do I own the characters?
Yes — what the Forge builds from your seed is yours to use, write, commission, print and publish. No licence strings, no revenue share.
What exactly does a credit buy?
A character sheet costs 1 credit. Their artwork — the profile portrait and the front & back model sheet — costs 5, because drawing genuinely costs us about twelve times what writing does and we'd rather price it honestly than bury it. You start with 6 free credits, which is exactly one complete character with art, so you see the whole thing before paying anything.
Why are flaws mandatory?
Because perfect characters are boring and nobody roots for them. The Forge refuses Mary Sues: every OC ships with flaws that cause problems, a contradiction, and a secret with stakes — the machinery of actual stories.
Does it work in my language?
Yes — write your seed in Portuguese, Japanese, Spanish, German, Indonesian, Tagalog, anything, and the whole character comes back in that language: name, backstory, voice, the lot. The art prompt is kept in English behind the scenes because image models follow it more reliably, but you never see that.
Will it build a character for my fandom?
It builds original characters, including OCs designed to fit a fandom's world and tone. It won't reproduce someone else's copyrighted characters.
Can I change something I don't like?
Yes — Reforge takes notes like "make her older", "give him a rival" or "softer palette" and rebuilds the character keeping everything you didn't ask to change.
Are my characters stored or shared?
Private by default — generated for you, shown to you, never used to train AI models. Nothing is published unless you press “Get a shareable link” yourself; that creates a public page for that one character (name, look and art — never your email). The share card you save is just an image on your device.
Can I get a refund?
If it didn't work for you, email us within 14 days and we'll refund unused credits.
